How Bradley Drake Has Given Away Over $3 Million Worth of Luxury Watches
When most people think about brands like Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Phillippe, they are familiar with the large price tag attached to these top-of-the-line brands. But members of the Luxury Watch Supply community are receiving them for just $77 USD. Founded by Bradley Drake, the UK-based high end raffle business is delivering the world’s most exclusive watches on a weekly basis.
With raffle tickets starting at $77 USD, Luxury Watch Supply has lowered the entry level for what would otherwise be unattainably exclusive brands. Bradley has pioneered a disruptive startup in an otherwise stagnant sector. Inspired by a real estate concept Bradley had previously explored, he recalls his thought process.
“The idea for Lux Supply Group came when I was having a hard time selling a flat of mine. I had an idea to raffle it off. There were a few companies trying to do real estate raffles in the UK, but none of them had really taken off. I liked the concept and thought ‘what else could I give away using this model?’ And high end watches were staring me in the face.” says Bradley.
Before starting Lux Supply Group, Bradley found a high-end recruitment company named “Talent Club London’’. While they were focused on hiring talent for large companies, startups and VC’s alike, Bradley maintained his love for luxury watches, and with his entrepreneurial background, he decided to venture into the space while catering to a much wider audience.
Lux Watch Supply has partnered with Ecologi, planting a tree for every ticket sold. The plan is to plant at least 100,000 trees this year.
“Don’t let other people’s failure in a particular area stop you from pursuing something you want to do.” Bradley says, “The raffle space was struggling when I got into it. But I focused on how I could improve and tweak it so that it worked for my business.”
