How Jax Fanucci Has Embraced Her Past Struggles And Uses Them to Inspire Others
When Jax Fanucci encourages others to step outside of their comfort zone, she comes from a place of experience. There have been points in Jax’s life where she’s been bullied, publicly humiliated, and even dealt with a 15 year-long battle with anorexia. Through all of it, Jax is still here today spreading a message of positivity on her YouTube channel.
Jax has dealt with a number of personal challenges in her life, and her form of escapism was always exercising and severe eating restriction. She would run for hours each day, even running through severe injuries just to be able to get her miles in. Even though she graduated from college and had a number of credentials under her belt by the time she was 26, she was a shell of her former self due to her struggles with anorexia. This escalated until her body could not physically take it anymore, and the extreme starvation she put herself through left her weeks from a heart attack.
She spent the next year and a half in a wheelchair and on crutches. She had to re-learn how to digest food, had her first slice of bread in 15 years, and could finally think clearly for the first time. While most people would shy away from discussing a past as traumatic as hers, Jax decided to launch a YouTube channel focused on just that.
Her channel documents her road to recovery, and she’s created an empire in the process. She inspires others recovering from anorexia on a daily basis and has turned years of lost experiences into a beautiful video series exploring Dubai. While pursuing a career in entrepreneurship and influencing is out of her comfort zone, Jax has decided to go all-in on it and persevere through self-doubt and second-guessing.
Jax is also so passionate about entrepreneurship because of all of the years of life she has to catch up on. She knows that if she remained timid and shy, her life would be a good one, but the uncertainty of taking a risk and diving into the unknown is what’s given her the motivation to keep pushing. She believes that she’ll never grow into her full potential and create greatness unless she dives into the “deep end”, and having a safety net attached to her ankle will always hold her back from the life she’s destined for.
